INFINITI recommends specific motor oils and change intervals based on the engine type, lubrication requirements, performance standards, and driving conditions. Our full-service menu features every motor oil and change service recommended by INFINITI, including conventional, semi-synthetic, full-synthetic, and diesel. The automotive industry adopted conventional motor oil as the industry standard when vehicle ownership became common, and oil changes became necessary in the post-WW2 era. Conventional breaks down faster than synthetic oil and has a shorter 3,000-5,000-mile change interval. Full-synthetic motor oil is often recommended due to its enhanced lubrication and compositional retention characteristics, surpassing conventional and semi-synthetic performance. Full-synthetic motor oil has a 10,000-mile recommended change interval. Semi-synthetic has a mixed composition of synthetic and conventional oils, yielding a motor oil with both benefits; it provides enhanced lubrication at a reduced price than full-synthetic. Semi-synthetic has a 5,000 to 7,500-mile change interval. Diesel motor oil is tailor-made for diesel engines that generate higher torque and acceleration with less fuel. Diesel oil has additional anti-friction modifiers for enhanced lubrication that reduces component friction.
